In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII Keep the Spirit of '45 Day, now a new National Day of Remembrance, was celebrated at The Veterans Museum at Balboa Park.

Children could talk one-on-one with WWII Veterans, Hometown Heroes, and Rosie Riveters, to learn what it was like to be a proud American on the day when they heard the War was over and to learn the values by which this Greatest Generation lived.

Live music popular in the late 1930s, 40s, and Swing Era was played in the Veterans Memorial Garden, along with WWII re-enactors and special museum exhibits.
